How many types of inputs?

It is important to know how many types of inputs there are. Solar panels can charge the ElecHive power station, which is highly friendly for those who want to live off-grid. If you get a station with only one or two types of input, then you are limited. Yet ElecHive is a solar-powered charging station. We can recharge it using a car charger, as well as AC outlets such as 240W, 600W, and 1250W.

240W max normal charging Anderson port

There are two input ports on the back of the ElecHive. The one on the middle right-hand side is a 240W max normal charging Anderson port. You can charge the ElecHive with anything under 240W at this Anderson port.

  • For example, you can charge it with one 100W solar panel or two 100W panels in parallel, since the max output of two 100W solar panels in parallel is 200W, which is less than 240W.

  • You can charge it with a car charger, as car chargers normally have 120W output.

  • Plus, you can charge it with a 240W power converter with a wall outlet.

1250W max fast charging Anderson port

The other input port on the back of the ElecHive is a 1250W max fast charging Anderson port. There's a lot more you can do with this fast charging port.

  • You can charge it with two to twelve 100W solar panels in series, and in parallel groups.

  • In addition, you can charge the ElecHive from a wall outlet via a 600W or 1,250W power converter.

Check the user manual for further details on how to set up the solar panels.

How long does it take to be fully charged?

Normal Charging (Anderson Port):

  • Solar (Open Circuit Voltage) 240W Max takes about 11 hours to be fully charged.

  • DC Charger 12~30V 240W Max takes about 11 hours to be fully charged.

  • Car charger 120W Max takes about 26 hours to be fully charged.

Fast Charging (Anderson Port) :

  • Solar (Open Circuit Voltage) 30~75V 1250W Max takes about 3 hours to be fully charged.

  • DC Charger 30~38V 600W Max takes about 5 hours to be fully charged.

  • DC Charger 42~60V 1250W Max takes about 2.5 hours to be fully charged.

How many ways and what output does it have?

You want to get a power station with enough output because you need to know how many and what types of devices you are going to charge. The ElecHive has seven DC outputs and four U.S. wall outlet AC outputs, or three universal wall outlet AC outputs with 2200W/10A max continuous 4400W Surge Peak.

There is a specially designed DC 24V Anderson port for Mark 2 air conditioner. It's on the left side of the LCD screen. With a Mark 2 power adaptor cable, ElecHive can run Mark 2 air conditioner directly. If you are not using anything else with Mark 2, ElecHive can run Mark 2 in rocket mode for about 10 hours. Normally you would not need the Mark 2 to run in rocket mode all the time, so this means that when you have an ElecHive running the Mark 2, you can enjoy the cool air in other modes for more than 10 hours. What a great bundle to enhance your outdoor living experience.

Have power when you need it

With all the input options, ElecHive is suitable for many situations. Not only for home use but also for outdoor living. This is a great piece of gear that will keep your devices running without any worry. When living off-grid, you will always have enough electricity as long as you have solar panels with you. It reduces people's anxiety about the lack of electricity. Plus, it's mega-powerful, with an excellent fast charging port that allows you to recharge in as little as 2.5 hours from a wall outlet via a 1250W power supply.

Plus, ElecHive would be perfect for everyone who wants power when there's none, and where they need it. It's ultra-compact, small, and weighs only 40 pounds. Light enough to carry, but powerful enough to charge your devices. The ElecHive 2200 definitely achieves the ultimate energy density for a product of its kind. 2500WH capacity, 1250W MPPT, and 2200W output. It's something you better have than not.
